INTERVIEW with RHIANNON FRATER
As a little girl, Rhiannon Frater was always afraid of the things that may lurk in the dark. It was not until her mother gave her an electric typewriter at the age of twelve, that she decided it was better to write about the monsters than be afraid of them. She wrote compulsively from then on and did a good job wrecking her wrist from her endlessly scribbling in class when she should have been paying attention.
As an adult, she was a columinist for The Edge Magazine covering the Goth/Industrial scene in Central Texas. She also interviewed the legendary Petery Murphy of Bauhaus fame for the cover of Reloaded Monthly.
Then, on a whim, she wrote a zombie short story and posted it to two online forums. The response was overwhelmingly positive. She kept adding to the story for the next two years as she drove the backroads of Texas for her day job as a governmental consultant to rural communities. She discovered old towns full of rich histories and offbeat characters. Her travels fueled her story and reminded her of all the reasons she loves being a Texan.
Rhiannon is an independent award winning horror Author of As the world dies : A Zombie Trilogy
and her new book Pretty When She Dies.

INTERVIEW with Teresa K. Miller
Vehicular homicide, relationship dissolution by imperceptible degrees, genocide, terror by war, linguistic disorientation—they are not equivalent, yet they interact in Forever No Lo, through the self-consciously philosophical and the mundane swallowing international crisis. The setting is Portugal, but it is also East Oakland, Rwanda, Chicago, Iraq, nowhere discernible. The language fragments multivocally in broken Portuguese, elementary French, and dialectical English. This serial poem asks what comes of global and personal tragedy—what grows, haunts, decays, redeems—in the gut, on the news, or from local communities.
About Teresa K. Miller
Teresa K. Miller received her MFA from Mills College. Her work has appeared in Tarpaulin Sky, ZYZZYVA, Columbia Poetry Review, MiPOesias, Coconut, DIAGRAM, Shampoo, and others. Originally from Seattle, she currently teaches in Oakland.

INTERVIEW with HORROR AUTHOR WILLIAM SCHEINMAN
William Scheinman was born and raised in New York City and moved to San Francisco in the 1980s. Though he has written fiction since he was a teenager, it wasn’t until 1989 that he turned to horror. His stories have appeared in various small press publications and an anthology, including the Stoker-recommended “The Work of Dennis Hobbs” and Years Best Fantasy & Horror honorable mentions “Shimmering Thing” and “In The Mind, In The Meadow.” In 2004 Mr. Scheinman compiled these stories for the collection, The Alchemy of Nightmares. In 2005 he completed work on White Light, a novel of dark fantasy set in San Francisco. MindFlesh, a feature film version of White Light, is currently making the festival circuit throughout 2008 and has already garnered many good reviews and an award for best horror film.
A practicing Buddhist with an active dark side, Mr. Scheinman has held a variety of disparate jobs, from San Francisco taxi driver to post-Internet bubble day trader to grant writer for non-profits. As a volunteer, he teaches meditation and stress reduction to incarcerated men at the San Francisco County Jail. His interests include yoga, cooking, working out, fine wine, politics and, of course, the art of the macabre. He currently works as an editor and a web designer, and is a co-founder of Stress Reduction at Work, a service that brings mindfulness meditation training to workplaces.
